How Often Should I Send My Real Estate Newsletter?

The short answer is:

  • monthly is most effective;
  • bi-monthly is still effective but less so;
  • any less often and the effectiveness drops away dramatically.

Let me explain in more detail.

Real estate is a timing business. People’s circumstances can change quickly. That client you sent a Christmas card to last December was probably not even thinking of selling. It’s now October and he suddenly gets a fabulous job offer in Hong Kong and decides to sell. Did you know it only takes 10 months for someone to forget your name? Your competitor has just dropped a flyer in his letterbox. Guess who gets the call? Not you. You’ve been forgotten.

However, had you remained top-of-mind with a relevant monthly newsletter, consistently building, establishing and maintaining a strong relationship, that client would have been far more likely to call you. Your competitor’s flyer would have been ignored.

I strongly recommend, as do most marketers, you invest in a monthly newsletter.
